The curriculum resources above have been developed for teachers of students at all age levels. They contain biographical information about the subject and historical information about the times in which that subject lived. This additional historical information will help form a background for study. The narrative is punctuated by teaching tips and classroom suggestions for activities related to the subject, as well as opportunities for further investigation and vocabulary lists.
The Georgia Historical Society’s collections are the basis for research, but other collections and sources have also been consulted.
Brief biographical sketches on many other previous Georgia Days Honorees, along with suggestions for further reading and resources available in the GHS collection, can be found by clicking here . Support for this resource expansion project was provided in part by the City of Savannah .
